Color the text in the folder list screen
Patch is available for version: alpine 2.00 alpine 2.01 alpine 2.10
This patch adds a different way that Alpine can use to report folders and directories in the folder list screen. In this case colors (and not extra characters) be the visual aid that allows you to distinguish these differences. Even if you install this patch, you need to configure the corresponding colors before Alpine changes the way that it reports folders and directories.
In order for Alpine to use colors for this report, you must configure at least one of the options Folder Color or Directory Color. Both options appear in the menu to set up colors (which can be reached by pressing S K from the main menu screen).
Additionally, you can configure the color for the explanatory text for each collection in the option or Folder-list-text Color. This option also appears in the menu to set up colors.
Below you can see an image that shows several collections. In that image you can see that the explanatory text appears in green, while folder names appear in cyan, directories in yellow and normal text in white.
The folder "Tamiu" appears as reported that received new mail. The folders in the second collection are dual folders. That is, they are folders and directories. You can open the folder by putting the cursor over the folder name, or the directory by putting the cursor over the separator "/" (see the folder "saved-messages"). The names 2007, 2008 and 2009 in that collection are directories and not folders.
